Rockin Tomato (3003 S. Lamar Austin, TX)

    Not The Government
    Patsy
Shoot For The Stars And Kill Them

The first time "Suicide Is Illegal" was ever publicly performed: The Limits Of Desire / Suicide Is Illegal / City Of The New Species / Brainwash The Tiger / Seeing Is Not Believing / After The Before / Alder Dreese

True rock stars Patsy were invited to open the show, but showed up 2 hours after they were supposed to play with awesome hair dos, and stories of being pulled over. When asked to begin playing upon arrival, they refused in favor of some time to unwind from the stressful drive up from san antonio. After all the other bands they finally did play, but the owner of the club asked them to stop half way through their set, commenting that he wasn't into "that weird shit". The club owner later refused to pay them, and we agreed to pay them out of our cut, but were unable to, due to their hasty departure after an attempt on their part to ditch a friend of theirs at our after party who had reached an intolerable state of intoxication. thanks Patsy. oh and by the way Patsy, congratulations on fitting the head of that giant wooden dildo sculpture into your mouth.

The first time "Brainwash The Tiger" was performed live. On the way to the show Jay and Tyler almost ran over some old people cause Jay spazzed out when Tyler pointed out there was a spider in the car. Jay can't hang with spiders. Nor old people, really: Convention Intervention / Limits Of Desire / Alder Dreese / I Don't Care If They Never Learn / Brainwash The Tiger / After The Before

    Not The Government
    Reader
    Attractive & Popular

This performance was carried out in the looming shadow of Martin 101. Also, on the way to the show Jay and Tyler got a flat tire and proceeded to recieve bunk advice from obvious crack heads who tried to charge us just to use their stupid jack: After The Before / Limits of Desire / Alder Dreese / Amnesia Catharsis / I Don't Care If They Never Learn / It's Your Fault You're Ugly / Red Wire

Rock City Bar (115 General Krueger Blvd, San Antonio, TX)

    AM Syndicate (austin)
    Big Soy
    Fin Del Mar
    Not The Government

While walking to a get some Dr. Pepper Wilton found a huge abandoned duffel bag behind a gas station loaded with weird, dirty toys and doll underwear, basically a child-molester's starter kit. During Big Soy's last song we broke them all out and distributed them to the audience and threw them everywhere as Wilton, Tyler, and Brian helped Big Soy get as much feedback possible out of their amps. Oh and the sound guy tried to fight Brian. That guy was a dick and everyone hated him: Cadaver Party / Red Wire / Alder Dreese / Limits of Desire / I Don't Care If They Never Learn / It's Your Fault You're Ugly / After The Before

Jay bruised a rib or two by getting elbowed in the ribs by a punk rock girl while moshing during Livin' and was severely sore for three months. Full Blown Aids set: you just had to have seen it. Brian laughed non-stop for their entire 11 minute set.

I Don't Care If They Never Learn / Alder Dreese / Red Wire / The Limits Of Desire / American Phantom / Amnesia Catharsis / After The Before / Encore: Gorgeous Gorgon

Beethoven's Mannechor (422 Pereida St. San Antonio, TX)

    Buttercup (CD release!)
    Hyperbubble
    Not The Government

While this was a great show and we got a good response, there were still plenty of people who found us simply too loud inside the typically quiet German beer garden. Myriam, from behind the merch table in the back of the room, saw numerous people shout to their friends "It's too loud! Let's go outside!"

  9. Saturday, 05/27/2006

Downtown Riot (202 East Main, Alice, TX)

    Communal Death Duck (Alice)
    Narwhals
    Not The Government
    Spineless Little Worms

We never made it to this show due to an overheating van. After hanging out for a while on the access road in the middle of nowhere, we realized that even though the van had cooled down, it wasn't going to get us to Alice, let alone back to San Antonio. So Tyler, Kelly, Wilton, and Tone raced back to San Antonio in Kelly's reliable car to get Brian's truck while Zach, Jay, and Brian stayed behind and waitied for them to return. While waiting they got completely naked and wondered around the wilderness alongside I-37 and drank whiskey. So, we made the best of it.

Gordo's (120 E San Antonio St., San Marcos, TX )

Muldoon, This Will Destroy You, Mechanical Boy, The December Drive, Not The Government

Lawrence from Muldoon borrowed the doorman's tennis ball and promised not to lose it. Jay then bounced it onto the roof of the two-story club. Sorry, doorman. Wilton stole a potted plant from a liquor store and presented it as a house warming gift at the afterparty. After Muldoon started hitting on us we decided to leave, but not before Jay hid the doorknob to the front door in the refrigerator.

  13. Saturday, 02/25/2006

House Of Rock (511 Starr St, Corpus Christi, TX)

Muldoon, Mechanical Boy, The December Drive, Not The Government, This Will Destroy You.

Zach's friend Curtis was kind enough to put us up for the night and entertained us with stories beyond belief, like the time he fell from a cliff, broke his back and neck but managed to crawl to an animal hospital where portions of his flesh were replaced with dog skin. Then we jumped on his trampoline til sunrise.

  14. Friday, 02/24/2006

    Wiggle Room (2301. S. Presa)

Muldoon, Mechanical Boy, The December Drive, Not The Government, This Will Destroy You.

The first night of our mini-tour trilogy started off with a bang as bewildered onlookers attempted in vain to understand how Jay could play all our songs one handed (the other hand was broken).

Rocked the power out 3 seperate times during our set. The electricity stopped, the rock did not. John from Big Soy was forced to carry Wilton on his back for one whole song. Fashion argument ensued between Zach and John regarding black socks and white shoes. John was forced to take his socks and shoes off.

  17. Saturday, 01/07/2006

    Mix (2423 N Saint Mary's)

Fin Del Mar, Not The Government

We had to wait until the spurs game was over until we could set up for annoyed basketball fans. Joey watched our set through the window on the outside front sidewalk since he is under age. Yvonne kept him company. These are true friends. This was also the first time "City Of The New Species" was performed live.

Convention Intervention / The Perils Of Teamwork / City Of The New Species / American Phantom / Gorgeous Gorgon
